Chaplain of Pets is an Interfaith Ministry that offers Compassion, Empathy, Comfort and Kindness to Pets and their Human Families during times of Loss, Sickness, Transition and Grief.
CHAPLAIN OF PETS LIGHT A CANDLE FOR PRAYER OR AS A MEMORIAL FOR YOUR BELOVED PET
Lighting a candle is a sacred ritual in many different traditions and religions; it is a way of remembering, a way of healing and a way of bringing hope. A solitary candle brings light to the darkness and serves as a reminder of the power of the living spirit. The flickering flame ignites something deep inside us and is something that connects us. As Erasmus noted, if we give light and share light, we can watch the darkness disappear.
You are invited to light a candle to remember a Cherished Pet in Prayer or as a Memorial. Begin by taking a moment to slow down, focus on your intention and decide the reason you are lighting your candle.
To light a candle as a Prayer or Memorial for a Beloved Pet, please email the Chaplain with the reason you are lighting your candle. Please let him know if your candle is for Prayer or as a Memorial. Also, be sure to include a Picture of your Cherished Pet.
We do not have an automated system for lighting a candle, so please allow 24 hours for the website to be updated. Thank You!
